Remember the last time your shoes really hurt? Every single step caused you pain. If you know that feeling, then you know what it's like for those who can't afford proper shoes.   The objective of the "Fit Feet on the Street" program is to get  footwear on the feet of Manitoba families who would not otherwise have access to them.

The program is a partnership between Canadian Footwear, The Winnipeg Free Press and Chum Broadcasting.  The idea originated with the Two Ten Foundation, which is involved with similar programs across Canada and the United States.

We are requesting donations in the form of new and gently worn men's, women's and children's footwear with a focus on winter boots and good walking footwear for all seasons.  The preference for donations is new product but we will refurbish nearly new footwear as well.  Gift certificates to other retailers who sell footwear are also greatly appreciated.

Footwear can be dropped of here or at any of the 3 Canadian Footwear locations;
128 Adelaide St.
1504 St. Mary's Rd.
1530 Regent Ave.

 You can also drop them off at these businesses who have kindly decide to partner with us:

 Kitchen Gallery - 435 Century St.  ph. 989-6400

 Howdel Mclean Physiotherapy - 534 Waterloo St. (off Corydon) ph. 987-9222

It is our mandate to treat all recipients of the footwear with both dignity and respect.  Consideration will be given to all charities who wish to benefit from this program.  Getting the footwear onto the feet of the individual in need is our #1 priority.

Help make someone's life better…every step of the way.

THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO DONATED FOOTWEAR IN 2012!  WE GAVE AWAY CLOSE TO 3000 PAIRS OF SHOES LAST YEAR TO PEOPLE IN NEED!

Spring Weather will soon be arriving and Winnipeg's less fortunate will need good walking shoes. Before you put away your winter footwear and pull out your spring shoes and sandals, please consider donating your gently used footwear to Fit Feet on the Street.
